If you go downtown right now and look down, you would probably see 90% of people wearing sandals. But why be like them if you have a pair of booties that you just can't wait till cold weather strikes to wear? There are many ways to style them to look good while beating the heat so you can just casually be walking around wearing black boots in 30°C weather without caring about feeling like you're about to melt. Don't get me wrong, I love sandals and I also wear them from time to time, but it is always nice to have more options.

Recently, I've been trying to find ways around the typical tee + shorts combo, even if it seems to be the most time efficient way to not be staring at your closet forever in the morning. I decided to wear a black tank top dress from H&M that I found in their Basics section about a year ago. It's great combined with the boots because of how incredibely airy and light it feels considering light layers are perfect for summer. Any kind of summer dress could look nice with them as long as it's thin enough to balance out the heat from the booties. This monochrome outfit is only one way to style them but you can also pair them with culottes, shorts or short skirts while wearing your favorite croptop or summer top.

I have slowly been transitioning from my old style towards more simple and minimalist fashion, but I still can't pinpoint what my current style exactly is. I wish I had more statement pieces in my closet but my relationship to basic clothing is still strong.
