I remember stepping past these gates a year ago and feeling like I was walking on foreign unexplored territory. Now, it just feels like going to a second home (and actually main home during finals season). Looking back, I feel like this first year of University went by both in a fast and slow way. The slow parts were mostly the midterms/finals periods which kept me busy for the past three weeks. That was also the reason why I've been mia and haven't posted on here at all but HEY I'M BACK. Even though I'm taking summer classes to lighten up my course load when I'm going on exchange next winter (!!!), I have a few posts ideas coming up including two collaborations that I'm pretty excited to share, hinted on insta ;) Now that I can finally breathe again, I'll be back to posting regularly again.
The denim over denim look has been a trend that has been around for a while. I've been loving the simplicity of it and how easily it can be put together as everyone and their mom definitely has something denim in their closet. I also recycled this front button skirt from one of my previous posts just to show how you can effortlessly style it in various ways and for different weather conditions (thanks to tights!). As for this oversized denim jacket, many people have told me they couldn't find it in Levis' newest collection and that's because it was actually thrifted from Value Village a few years ago! It's probably one of the only pieces I thrifted that I still wear because it has been holding up pretty well. I honestly haven't thrifted in a long time because of how time consuming it can be but if you're patient, I would definitely recommend you go check out your local thrift shop for vintage pieces and especially take a look at the Mens' section which is where I actually found mine.
