A little trip before drowning in textbooks seemed about right. There we were off, 6 hours on our way to The 6. Upon our arrival, we were dropped off near Eaton Center and as we were walking down the crowded Yonge Street, I could tell the difference in population was already pretty obvious, the streets actually felt way more alive than in Downtown Montreal. Since it was melting hot, we mutually decided (I decided) to stop at this lovely Cafe called Dineen Coffee (and to forcefully drag my boyfriend there), in the heart of Downtown Toronto. The exterior is pretty ordinary, but holy, the patio is simply beautiful and the interior decor is basically the reason why it deserves a blogpost of its own.
If you go downtown right now and look down, you would probably see 90% of people wearing sandals. But why be like them if you have a pair of booties that you just can't wait till cold weather strikes to wear? There are many ways to style them to look good while beating the heat so you can just casually be walking around wearing black boots in 30°C weather without caring about feeling like you're about to melt. Don't get me wrong, I love sandals and I also wear them from time to time, but it is always nice to have more options.
I usually love to buy oversized button-downs for their fit but when I saw this one at AA, there was only XXS left. Surprisingly, though I thought that was probably a size for ants and would never fit me, with a few seconds of holding my breath, I actually managed to button up all the way (just kidding, it actually fit, just clearly not the oversized look). That's why I like to wear it tied around my waist most of the time because I do love the colors and pattern. It also pairs well with any cropped top or low waist denim for a casual outfit if you aren't comfortable with showing too much skin.
Some people suggested I make one a while back (you better be reading this right now) but I never actually imagined myself writing a blog post because I thought it would feel like talking to myself... and it does. It probably just takes time to get used to it.
Meanwhile, expect outfit diaries, food reviews (Montreal cafes, restaurants) and random lifestyle photos here and there. This is just going to be an extra platform, aside from Instagram, where I can share my inspirations and hope to inspire.
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy my future posts!
Ping xx
